UC offers a wide variety of courses, from pathway programs that help you gain entry to university, all the way to the highest-level research degrees.

Detailed information on all courses offered at UC can be found on each course’s page. This will guide you on the admission requirements, English language proficiency requirements and any additional information to help you with your decision.

Check the Admission section on your course search for admission requirements for your chosen course.

Have Your Supporting Documents Ready

When applying to study at UC, international applicants should include the following supporting documents along with their application:

  • certified copies of all relevant academic transcripts and award certificates from all your complete or incomplete study
  • evidence of your English proficiency level (if applicable)
  • evidence of your work experience in the form of a current resume and statements of employment which should be an official document from your employer outlining your job title, responsibilities and duration of employment (if applicable)
  • subject or unit outlines from your previous study (if you are seeking credit or advanced standing into your UC course)

If your documents are under a previous name, we will require official evidence of your change of name.

If your documents are not in English, we will require certified translations in addition to copies of your original documents.

English Language Requirements

All applicants wishing to study at UC must meet the English proficiency requirements for entry to their chosen course. For detailed information, check the requirements listed on each course’s page.

If you need extra help with your English proficiency, the UCC English Language Centre (UCCELC) offers English preparation courses.

Scholarships

Studying can be expensive. We have a wide range of scholarships available to you which can assist with living costs, textbooks or that can contribute towards your fees.

International Scholarships

International Students have a variety of government and internally funded scholarships available to them to assist with study costs and tuition fees. In most cases, students do not need to apply for internally funded scholarships but can apply for other scholarships offered in association with the University.

University of Canberra International Course Merit Scholarship

Awarded to new commencing international students from the following countries who are applying for admission to a specific UC Bachelor or Master degree coursework as outlined below.

  • VALUE – 25% OFF TOTAL TUITION FEE
  • AWARDED AT THE TIME OF OFFER TO ELIGIBLE STUDENTS

Special Criteria

  • New Commencing students applying for a 2020 or 2021 course commencement
  • Students from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Vietnam, Philippines, Latin America, Kenya, Nigeria, Mauritius, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan
  • Bachelor Degree (Equivalent of 70% or higher in Year 12)
  • Master degree (GPA of 5 out of 7 or 65% or higher in Undergraduate study)
  • Full time student
  • Offshore

  • Bruce students only
  • Articulation and Sponsored students not eligible

  • 85% or higher for Undergraduate Degree
